The tour to the Kasseler Hütte is certainly one of the best and most spectacular medium-difficulty hikes that Rein in Taufers and the entire Tauferer Ahrntal have to offer. A great climb, a waterfall, mountain pastures, forests, meadows, rushing streams, a wonderful hut and a small lake - what more could you want?

Tour 3, Bike

Klammljoch

By mountain bike to the border with Austria. It's just under 900 meters in altitude. Not more. And 22 kilometers.

If you cycle at a leisurely pace, it will probably take you around three hours. But this tour is a scenic delight.

From our hotel to the Knutten car park and then up to the Knuttenalm, to the Klammlsee and then on to the Klamml, where the passes used to be checked.

Drive. Definitely drive.

The dream path through forests, over alpine pastures and glaciers. It is considered one of the most beautiful high-altitude trails in the entire Eastern Alps. There may be something to it, because the Arthur Harteden Trail wonderfully combines everything the mountains have to offer. Meadows, forests, alpine pastures, comfortable paths, lonely and narrow paths, boulders, the glacial grinding that the ice of the still visible glaciers of Hochgall has worked over millions of years. And finally the Kasselerhütte, with an excellent menu.
